Nut and Stud Welding Electrode
In the automotive industry, bridge construction, and general construction, many sheets and workpieces need to be fastened with nuts. One of the key challenges in this process is selecting a high-quality nut welding electrode. The electrode must provide a long service life for automated welding while also ensuring high weld strength. This requires an electrode with high hardness and stable performance to guarantee consistent nut welding quality.
HOSO METAL’s nut welding electrode uses copper tungsten alloy (HOSOPM075R) as the electrode face material, providing excellent wear resistance and strong loading endurance. The shank is made from Chromium Zirconium copper (HOSOCU202), which offers high electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity.
The copper tungsten face is joined to the shank using HOSO METAL’s advanced NDB®-T technology. This process creates a reliable bond with no gap between the two materials, giving the electrode excellent tip hardness and long-term reliability.
Benefits of our nut welding electrode:
1) All electrodes are joined by the unique NDB®-T technology between copper tungsten and Chromium Zirconium copper. The whole electrode has high thermal conductivity and high hardness.
2) High-accuracy CNC machining ensures that the finished part size meets the customer's drawing requirements.
3) We also supply the copper tungsten pillar. Machining shops can join the pillar to the shank by themselves and deliver customized-size electrodes to end users.
